You have arrived at the website dedicated to the realization of the EURECA program (EURECA—Enhancing University Research and Entrepreneurial Capacity) in the Saint-Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (NRU ITMO).
The main goal of the Program is the development of the commercialization processes of scientific developments and entrepreneurial activity in Russian national research universities. The experience and capabilities of American research universities will be used for the realization of this goal. NRU ITMO was chosen as one of two organizational-methodical centers of the project.
The first step of the EURECA program is a pilot project designed to take place during 2011-2012. The goal of the pilot project is the creation of an effective working model of technology commercialization in several Russian research universities with the purpose of using them in the next step of the Program to function as hubs for other universities and also in the role as centers of innovative activity in the regions.
